 There has been an account set up at Progressive Bank for Rick Knighten to help defray medical expenses for treatment for cancer. Rick has been a local DJ for over 25 years. He is without insurance and in serious need of financial help.  Donations can be made at any Progressive Bank donation.

 A special account has been set up for Ricky Young who has had severe head trauma due to a recent fall. Go by any Iberia Bank location to donate. There will also be a spaghetti lunch for Ricky Friday at 131 Arrant Road/West Monroe beginning at 11am. Cost is $5.00. Call 323-1034 or 376-1827.

 A cancer fund account has been set up at Jonesboro State bank in the name of Billy Tilley. Billy has throat cancer and is having to travel for daily treatments. You can donate by mail, in person or call 318-259-4411.

 The Steven Fitzhugh " Believe and Achieve " Football Camp will begin June 3rd for kids from age 5 through 8th grade. The camp will be on the campus of Ouachita Christian School.  There will be a camp meeting singing at First Baptist Church-Swartz Saturday. This will be a free event with performances from 2 until 5 and 6 until 9pm. AmVets Post 66 of Monroe is sponsoring a memorial Day Drive for the Northeast Louisiana War Veterans Home. All types of items are needed.
